Take this class and be in control of you own fashion statement. This class is designed for novices and those who want to return to sewing and want an update on techniques. Understanding Knit FabricsKnit fabrics are extremely comfortable to wear, they tend not to wrinkle, and care is quite easy. There is no mystery why garments are very popular; they are easier to fit than woven fabric. There are a more choices available in knit fabrics, and we find them irresistible to wear and would like to sew them without frustration. Learn how to sew them terrific fabrics, using your sewing machine, special presser feet, and a variety of techniques to make any kind of tee-shirt, dress or quilt. The class will teach you how to identify different knit types, gauge the amount of stretch, selecting the best sewing machine needles and thread. We will use the sewing machine and serger techniques. Know Your Serger / Get It Out of the ClosetNo matter which serger you own, you can do more than basic finishing seams. Sew Images Creative Sewing Club
Keep up to date with the latest techniques for your Sewing, Serger and embroidery machines. Come to the monthly Saturday meetings and learn about the latest in sewing resources, and share creative ideas and projects.
Each meeting features a lecture and demonstration of specialized techniques. Hands on meetings may be scheduled for all sewers who want to practice or make a project. All sewers are welcome to join the club, even if you do not own a Bernina or Baby Lock Sewing Machine!
Annual membership fee $50 pro-rated. Guests $15 per meeting. New Bernina or Baby Lock owners joins free for three months with the purchase of a new machine.
